High-rise tower stratas in British Columbia
Concrete high-rise towers carry the largest shared electrical services of any strata type — and the biggest future demand from EV charging and heat-pump conversions.
What to know
Electrical planning for high-rise stratas
The considerations that tend to matter most for this building type. We confirm exactly what applies to your strata in the proposal.
Large services, switchgear, and distribution mean spare-capacity and load-diversity calculations are the heart of the report.
EV charging demand is concentrated in a shared parkade, where energy-management strategy can defer or avoid a costly service upgrade.
Future heat-pump and electric-hot-water conversions add load that a thorough Electrical Planning Report models up front.

Electrical Planning Report
Every BC strata corporation of five or more lots must obtain an Electrical Planning Report — an assessment of the building's electrical capacity and what future electrification will need from it.
For a high-rise strata
The spare-capacity and load-diversity calculations on the main service and switchgear are the heart of the report.

EV Ready Plan
An EV Ready Plan maps a complete charging strategy onto your building's existing electrical service — stalls, conduit, energy management, and phased costs. It is the route to BC Hydro's plan rebate (up to 75% of the plan's cost, to a $3,000 maximum) and, from July 15, 2026, a qualifying plan on file is required before a strata can access standalone EV charger rebates.
For a high-rise strata
Parkade charging at tower scale is where energy management earns its keep — a well-designed plan can defer or avoid a costly service upgrade, and it opens the BC Hydro rebate stream.
Plan adopted and ready to build? We can manage the rollout for your strata. About Project Management →
Project Management
Heat pumps, EV charger rollouts, service upgrades — implementing a large electrification project means scope documents, comparable quotes, rebate paperwork, and months of coordination. We manage the project on the strata's behalf — one point of contact from planning through completion.
For a high-rise strata
Tower-scale electrification — heat pumps, hot water, charger build-outs — is a multi-month, multi-contractor undertaking. Project management on your council's side of the table gives you one accountable point of contact across all of it.
Most managed projects start from an Electrical Planning Report or EV Ready Plan. Start with the report →
