Many BC stratas need both reports. Bundling them with us means one project manager, one site visit, and one schedule — two reports, delivered together. Here's how it works.

Two reports, one coordinated engagement

Many BC stratas need both an Electrical Planning Report and an EV Ready Plan. The two engagements share data inputs — utility consumption analysis, load calculations, future-demand modelling — so running them together is cleaner and less disruptive than two separate projects.

The two reports are prepared under different rules — the Electrical Planning Report under the Strata Property Act, the EV Ready Plan under BC Hydro's EV charging program — and one engagement covers both.

Strata Property Act · §94.1

The Electrical Planning Report is mandatory for strata corporations of five or more lots. The EV Ready Plan is a BC Hydro EV charging program deliverable.

Who you're dealing with

From the electrical trade — now focused entirely on getting this right

Chris Farrar started in the electrical trade and spent years on installation and service work. He kept seeing the same thing: strata managers struggling with electrical planning, needing real expertise but not another vendor adding to the pile. So CF refocused on the planning and project management — done properly.

We write every report to be read by the people who paid for it: full technical accuracy, in language your council can act on.

Common questions

EPR + EV Ready Plan bundle — common questions

Why bundle the two reports?
Many BC stratas need both an Electrical Planning Report and an EV Ready Plan. The two engagements share data inputs — BC Hydro consumption analysis, load calculations under electrical-code standards, future-demand modelling. Doing both at once is cleaner, faster, and less disruptive than running two separate engagements.
Who prepares the bundle?
One CF Electrical Services project manager runs the engagement from kickoff to delivery. Both reports are prepared by CF Electrical Services — one site visit, one data request, one schedule — with the outputs internally consistent across the two documents.
How long does the bundle take?
Typically six to ten weeks from intake to delivery. Both reports are produced on the EPR regulatory schedule — your strata meets the BC strata law deadline and has its EV Ready Plan in hand at the same time.
When is the EPR deadline?
Stratas in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Capital Regional District must have a current EPR by December 31, 2026. Stratas elsewhere in BC have until December 31, 2028. See the deadline guide for the full regional schedule.
Does CF Electrical Services have a stake in the upgrades these reports recommend?
No. Our only product is the reports themselves, so we have no stake in which upgrades your strata chooses. Both reports are prepared on your building's merits alone.
BC Hydro program note

BC Hydro offers an EV Ready Plan rebate of up to $3,000 for eligible strata corporations.

Eligibility, application, and approval are managed by BC Hydro. We can guide your council through the application process. Full program details are at bchydro.com.
