As of July 15, 2026, an EVRP, an Electrical Planning Report, or an Opportunity Assessment Report is mandatory to access standalone EV charger rebates from BC Hydro. Whistler councils that want the plan rebate — and eligibility for the later installation rebates — need a plan in place, and a planning provider that knows how to navigate BC Hydro EV charging program documentation.
